Mastering The Vegan Cooking/ Dic 5, 2017

For the past few days I’ve been working on writing my first cook book, “Fit Steph In The Kitchen” and as I started to look for recipes ideas and how to reinvent regular recipes in to vegan ones I wanted to do more.  Tonight after a long day of work I got back home and started to watch one of my favorite movies, “Julie & Julia”, while watching the movie it came to me the answer that I was looking for these days, why I don’t also write about my journey on creating these new recipes.  I mean let’s face it, creating a recipe sometimes can be a piece of cake but sometimes it can be a pain in the ass.  Sometimes reading it makes it sound delicious but then, you cut it or your taste it and your heart is devastated, the recipe ended being a total failure and you have to fix it.  I been there, I know what I am talking about.  So why not share it whit you guys.

 I mean right now it is day # 75 after hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and I am still without any power so I can’t work much on posting my blogs, working on my webpage or anything that requires for me to be online, so I have some extra time on my hands to invent recipes and write about my day.  So I am not sure what you guys think about it, but, just like this movie had helped to empower other females out there to reach their dreams no matter what or how old they are, I thought that my experience can also help some women that are passionate about living healthy and cooking for their love ones, in my case my beautiful 3 children.  So I will be writing a blog inspired by my desire to write a vegan cookbook and one of my favorite movies. 

DAY 0: GETTING READY FOR MASTERING THE VEGAN COOKING

So right now I am about to look for a few recipes to cook this week so I can go tomorrow to the grocery store and buy the ingredients that I will need to cook these recipes.  I do have some recipes ideas on mind, like avocado sushi but not sure what else to put inside the recipe.  This is one of the many reasons why I wanted to write this book, I am still learning about cooking delicious vegan recipes, sometimes I stay in my kitchen thinking what I can eat and I have no idea of what and end up eating the same boring meals over and over again, like tonight per example, I ate a package of noodles replacing the little envelope with the beef flavoring and putting a vegetable bullion to make it vegan. That was it.  Another problem that I have is that I have a idea of what to cook but then I don’t know how to master that idea, just like my avocado sushi, I have no idea of what else to put inside my sushi so I give up and make noodles, yuck! I mean, don’t get me wrong they are good, sometimes, but when it comes to eating them all the time, that’s when it becomes a problem.

I do have to admit that today’s breakfast was pretty good.  It was simple but yet good, it was a whole hot wheat cereal with a mix of berries with pumpkin and sunflower seeds, but you want to know what the best part of all? While I was going to seat to eat my breakfast, I noticed that I always rush to eat, or that I eat standing up or while I am doing something else, but I barely seat down and enjoy every bite of what I am eating, so I went back to bed, whit my plate and my bottle of water, and had breakfast in bed while I enjoy the cold slow breeze of the Christmas weather.  It was amazing!!!  I dare you to give yourself some breakfast in bed time and enjoy the moment, you, the food and the natural weather.  As a matter of a fact my desk is right in from of my room back yard door and right know I am kind of shaking because there is a good breeze coming in and I am cold, but it feel sooooo good.  So there it is guys, my day and I can’t wait to share with you tomorrow’s day and how my recipe is going to end up.  Right now my kids are on my bed talking wearing some Santa’s pajamas’ and I it is time to get them to bed because it is school night and I have to make a grocery shopping list.  So have a great day and see you tomorrow!

Ohhhh, did I mention that I am about to dig in on a few oatmeal cookies in a cup of almond milk? Shhhhh………….
